Perth International Film Festival
12 – 22 JULY, 2007 – Perth
Revelation Film Festival started life in the back room of the Greenwich Club in the bowels of His Majestry’s Theatre, in Perth. The event developed international, independent and underground networks unlike any other event in the country.
This festival pioneered the concept of microcinema, which is currrently defining the international film exhibition scene and was instrumental in breaking documentary as a commercial consideration in Australia.
The festival includes Special Events, Features, Documentaries, Children’s Cinema, selected Shorts and Screen Conferences.

Winds cause commuter chaos
High winds belted Sydney and NSW, stopping trains crossing the Harbour Bridge and affecting services to 30,000 commuters.
Rail services to North Sydney and beyond ground to a halt when a maintenance hatch blew off the roof of a train mid-way across the bridge just after 2.30pm, hitting powerlines above.
Some 30 passengers had to be evacuated from the train, and two lanes of the road across the bridge were initially closed while debris was cleared.
City Rail’s chief executive Vince Graham said the North Sydney line would be closed for several hours, affecting 30,000 passengers during peak hour.
What is going on with the weather recently? Is it global warming playing it’s part in the extreme changes in the weather? In only the last 3 months, in Sydney we have had drought, floods, extreme changes in the temperatures & now winds that would blow a cat away!
