Bethany Joy launches into Summer!
Sydney fashion designer Bethany Joy Monsted has recently collaborated with two up and coming film directors on a documentary short film, featuring her fashion label Bethany Joy. The documentary centres on the day of her second collection’s photoshoot, with fascinating insights into the designer’s inspirations.
Directors Lachlan Monsted (Bethany’s brother) and Joshua Finch joined forces in filming this documentary. An emphasis was firmly placed on capturing gorgeous visuals and lush location shots – capturing the mood of Bethany Joy’s tea party inspired “Wasn’t that a dainty dish?” Summer 08/09 collection.
Still photographer Abe Bastoli of Pennant Hills Studio has contributed the beautiful fashion photographs featured. Young musical talent Alex Lees composed two original musical compositions as the film’s accompanying soundtrack. The resulting film has been published on Youtube, with already hundreds of views in the first few days.
