Design Federation got the exclusive back stage, access, where behind the scenes in all its brilliance, excitement, tensions and tempers.
With 20 designers showcasing at fashion palette, the swarm of photographers as well as eager fashionista’s, the room is full of highly creative types that is overwhelming.
The Show must go on as they say and after minor technical hiccups the show kicks off!!
With anticipation the room eagerly awaits for the lights to dim… first on the runway was Wayne Cooper a parade of leggy girls sashaying down the runway, twirling and pouting, I know we’re in for a delight.
Wayne Cooper’s collection, showcased the versatility of Jersey(fabric) in neutral tones, teemed with chunky boots strikes a statement of edgy street sense though still highly tailored (structured).
The sheer volume of imagination by the designers was astonishing; Australia really has its own unique vision and are pushing the boundaries of contemporary fashion.
The label Baanu Couture didn’t disappoint, the collection took inspiration from the Victorian era with high-laced collars, and the collection evokes a modern gothic–esque, sleek skinny leather pants gave it edginess with delicate gold chains looped across the body.
The outstanding designer from this year’s Fashion Palette was Anaessia Sydney.
Anaessia: quintessentially is French chic, elegance and old world, with sexy silhouettes, ballerina inspired tutus.
The collection truly invokes a journey of design, with elegance of European fashion. Anaessia embodies the essence of femininity in all aspects; the collection captures the distinctive style from the 1920’s right through to the late 1960’s.
