Seize the day for cancer research!

Entries close Friday 4th April 2008 so don’t delay! Seize this moment to create art, short story, poetry, Indigenous art or film about your experience with cancer. Our awards are open to Australians of all ages with a cancer story to share.

The awards are judged by high-profile and well-respected artists and specialists.

Film : Deb Verhoeven – writer, broadcaster, film critic and lecturer
Visual Art : Kelly Gellatly – Curator of Art , National Gallery of Victoria
Short Story : Arnold Zable – acclaimed writer and story teller
Poetry : Jennifer Harrison – renown poet
Indigenous Art : Bronwyn Razem, a respected artist
Children’s Art : Mitch Vane – illustrator and painter
Children’s Writing : Tony Wilson – Children’s Author
 
Entries are evaluated on expression and ability to convey your cancer story. The Outstanding Entry in each category is awarded a cash prize. Selected pieces will be exhibited in The Cancer Council Victoria Arts Awards Exhibition in Melbourne and touring regional Victoria from July 2008. All Outstanding Entries will be available for viewing on this site .
